Our mission is simple: to help parents, teachers, school administrators, and librarians identify books that school-aged children want to read, which use language that students can best model.  Whether you're building a classroom library, planning a homeschool curriculum, or just looking for your child’s next favorite book, our grade-specific lists are designed to inspire and support readers of all abilities—including reluctant readers and advanced learners.

From timeless classics to contemporary gems, our selections span fiction and educational nonfiction, graphic novels, award-winners, and genre favorites like science fiction, horror, and personal development.  Recommendations in earlier grades, in particular, also explore social-emotional learning, history, and other themes to help support your child's overall development.

We also believe that when adults take an interest to support their child's learning, that the student gains not only a mentor, but also the encouragement to pursue language learning.  Many of our recommendations excel specifically at cultivating  adult-student opportunities.
